Meine Serie NOT SO BINARY besteht aus 12 Werken – inspiriert vom Artikel “18 animals you didn’t know were biologically trans” (Fran Tirado, GAY TIMES, 2024 @gaytimes) und vom Buch „Das Evangelium der Aale“ von Patrick Svensson.

Ich habe 11 dieser Tiere ausgewählt – plus den Europäischen Aal – und sie auf Gouache-Hintergründe in den Farben verschiedener Pride-Flaggen gesetzt: Nonbinary, Genderqueer, Intersex, Asexuell und Trans.

Die Tiere selbst sind digitale Fotocollagen, die auf die Leinwand aufgebracht oder mit Pinnnadeln fixiert wurden, wodurch ein leichter räumlicher Effekt entsteht.

My series NOT SO BINARYconsists of 12 works, inspired by the article “18 Animals You Didn’t Know Were Biologically Trans”(Fran Tirado, GAY TIMES, 2024 @gaytimes) and the book "The Gospel of Eels" by Patrick Svensson.

I selected 11 of these animals—plus the European eel—and placed them on gouache backgrounds in the colors of various pride flags: Nonbinary, Genderqueer, Intersex, Asexual, and Trans.

The animals themselves are digital photo collages, applied to the canvas or fixed with pins, creating a subtle three-dimensional effect.
